I am very aware of what big game devs have been doing since the inception of the media. I don't know why you keep bringing up current practices in the gaming market. With the NFTs? The limits of that ecosystem are undefined and can grow or shrink depending on adoption rates. When we think of a microtransactions, we think of buying something in a particular game or ecosystem. If I buy a FIFA NFT, I can take that to EA and other partners or people that work/acknowledge that blockchain.
If I own an EA NFT, I can use it for FIFA merch or vice versa. Another example, EA and FIFA work together. I can take that EA NFT and possibly use it for things outside the EA ecosystem that EA partners with. Not to a generic blockchain that can be used for limitless applications instead of just EA platforms. It is not the same because the account is TIED to Origin. People say it is like what we have now with the Origin account. For example, if I buy an EA NFT, everything in the EA ecosystem can use that proof to give me something in each respective game. A skin/cosmetic would be a simple implementation of that. What I am talking about is a meaningful transaction happening outside of the echo system of either game that affects both games.
DRM FREE UNDERTALE HARD RESET SKIN
I am not talking about a 1-to-1 transfer of a skin from Battlefield to Apex. Everyone that has been replying to me doesn't seem to understand what I am saying.
